Lathrop Marketplace, a 27 acre project at the heart of the growth-oriented Tracy/Manteca/South Stockton region of California’s central valley, will be the first community shopping center servicing this area. With the expected rapid growth of Lathrop’s population base over the next decade, Watt identified this opportunity and is building a center with over 280,000 square feet of leasing space. Almost 2,500 new housing units have been approved surrounding the site, which is also ideally situated close to the 11,000 unit River Islands development. The center will have excellent visibility from I-5 and is also situated just north of the I-5/120 interchange. As well as designing the center, Watt will also execute and oversee the development phase of the project.
