The Artisan is a planned condominium and retail complex situated on three blocks adjacent to the Pomona Gold Line Station. Watt worked in conjunction with redevelopment personnel from the City of Pomona to design the project, which will span two and a half city blocks in the heart of the Arts Colony on West 2nd Street. It will offer businesses and residential newcomers the opportunity to play an important role in creating positive growth and stimulate revitalization to Pomona’s downtown area. The project has been carefully designed to implement transit oriented development concepts while respecting the historical downtown feel. The Artisan will offer 271 for-sale condominium units and 35,000 square feet of ground floor retail. Parking is provided within a concealed internal parking structure and is available for all commercial and residential uses. A focal point of The Artisan project will be its carefully planned out landscaping. With two plazas, a beautifully crafted fountain, public art, colorful flowers and trees, this new community site will become a main attraction for residents and newcomers to enjoy for many years to come.
